Kim, Good morning. I'm using the 4th edition to study for the PMP exam and the book is very helpful. Errors are to be expected and then handled as needed. I have found numerous minor errors in the 4th edition which have caused my study group to be confused and wonder if we have adequately understood a given topic. I would love to see what some book publishers have done: create an online errata section for the book where readers can post questions about possible errors and have them answered by the author. Thanks.

Thanks for your post, Ira. Yes, there is an errata on line at the Wiley website with all the posted corrections.
Drop me an email anytime if you see something that really seems confusing that you or your students don't understand. I'll be glad to explain. Also, the 4th Edition of my Study Guide is the older version. The 5th Edition Study Guide matches the changes made to the PMBOK 4th Edition that is based on the new exam that started July 1, 2009. Good luck to you and your study group.

Kim, Are you planning to update the Project Management Professional Study Guide as well? I read your book completely and am certain that it was key to my passing the PMP exam. (PMBoK - Third Edition). Other books state that a Charter and a Project Management Plan are required, however, your book detailed section headings for these documents, thus allowing newer PM's to produce higher quality documents. I am now leading a Study Group for my PMO and will be recommending your certification kit to my peers. Thank You, Jim P.S. Are you planning to author any books on Program Management?

Yes! Thanks for using my book in your Study Group and I'm so glad to hear it helped you pass the exam. The PMP Project Management Professional Exam Study Guide is here and available at Amazon and Barnes and Noble and other retailers. It reflects all the changes made to the PMBOK Guide 4th Edition. Thanks for recommending the book. I'm working on a Leadership book right now and hope to talk more about it in upcoming posts. Thanks for asking.

This one(article) is good than the others that I had to read. I think in each one of us, there lies a quality to sacrifice oneself for the one that we trust and respect. For some its a person and for others its their duty and responsibility. However, almost all of us are immersed into the ocean of self interest and self gratification. 'No decision is a decision' is a good saying. I find myself so helpless to express and convey what it(whatever) means. I mean, there is much that one can not sum it up in a book or a library. I guess, I have to be content with the discontent of being a finite in the presence of infinite !

Dear Kim.
I'm very excited to see that your 5th Edition is coming. I got my PMP certification last year on May 29th, since then I have been working with study groups in my company and in the local PMI chapter. Your book has been a relief to better understand the PM concepts and to have a solid foundation for the certification exam. I want to tell you that at least 30 persons have been using your book in my groups in the past 6 months, about 6 of them are already PMP certified and 10 more are scheduling the exam before June 30.Your book is really the best.
I will be in the PMI congress in October in Orlando, hopefully I can say hello overthere and tell you the news of how our chapter in Guadalajara Mexico is growing.
Warm regards.
